THE ASTRAL BODY

Paracelsus uses the expression "Astral Body" to indicate the entity that in man would receive the influence and energy of the stars.

This subtle body was called Eidelon by Agrippa. Like the soul, it perishes if it does not join the Spirit. It is the work of Initiation. Magicians and certain initiates can project this entity out of the physical body, "materializing it". The tantric call this "body" Lingasarira and the sankyas, Sushnasarira. René Guenón says that man would have been created in several worlds at once, he speaks of "parallel lives", in addition to "parallel worlds", of instantaneous "clusters of lives" that would be lived at the same time, even though, generally, we are aware of only one.
